My Dream Come True KDrama Tour in South Korea!

By Angel Macaraig - Tuesday, December 19, 2017

It was my first time to travel solo, and I am extremely happy that I did it in South Korea last December 5 to 10, 2017 (yay, winter season)! Most of my friends know about my recently diagnosed (??) KDrama obsession... I have been really vocal about it especially on social media, LOL! That's why when I set foot to Seoul, I didn't let the chance to pass and visited as much KDrama filming locations as I can. Well, I had a typical itinerary for first timers in Seoul, but each day, I tried to squeeze in at least one Kdrama site! Didn't find it difficult to locate those places as there are a lot of detailed Kdrama tour articles available online. Thanks and credits to you all!

The school guard didn't allow me to enter the premises that's why it's the only photo I have. :(

3. Namsan & NSeoul Tower

It's indeed one of the most popular Kdrama filming locations in South Korea. To name a few: The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), W-Two Worlds (2016) and My Love From Another Star (2013-14). I only mentioned those I have watched...

Directions: Get off at Myeong-dong Station, Line 4, Exit 3, then ride cable car

4. Legend of the Blue Sea: Heo Joon Jae's (Lee Min Ho) House

Before going to Namsan Tower, we passed by Heo Joon Jae's House! It's located near the Namsan Cable Car...

The beauty of travelling solo is you get to meet new friends. Hi Sue!
Anyway, we had a hard time finding this house. Thanks to the Korean couple who helped us.
Met a Lee Min Ho hardcore fan!

7. Personal Taste: Bukchon Hanok Village

Directions:
Anguk Station, Seoul Subway Line 3, Exit 2.
Go straight for about 300m to arrive at Bukchon Hanok Village
I haven't watched Personal Taste though, but still included it here anyway. :)

This was the first destination in my itinerary!
Bukchon Hanok Village is a village with traditional houses called Hanok.

8. Gyeongbokgung Palace

Directions: Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 5

Gyeongbokgung Palace!

Of course, I didn't let this chance pass and wore Hanbok - Korean traditional attire!

Aura pa more! :)

Feel na feel! Yes!

Haist, ginalingan. Imagine, I took these photos using a tripod! Effort, beshimae!

9. Tried Jimjilbang!!!

In Legend of the Blue Sea, when Shim Chung and Heo Joon Jae had an LQ, Shim Chung spent one night at a Jimjilbang - a public korean bath house. Since then, I wanted to experience it and added it on my bucketlist. When I was in Seoul, I had hesitations because I'm not comfortable getting naked in front of people, not even in front of girls (Waaa?). Didn't have much photos because it's rated SPG.  :))

I actually forgot the name of this Jimjilbang, but it's situated near the hostel where I stayed (Korea Hostel Original)

Selfie!

10. Eat Samgyeopsal and drink soju!

Disclaimer: Not a KDrama location again...

I originally wanted to drink soju at tent houses like what I usually see in KDrama, but couldn't find one near my hostel. Sad :(

Hello again, Sue!

I MISS YOUUUUUU, SOUTH KOREA! I WILL SURELY COME BACK!!!!
