Since our family transferred to Pasig City, Marikina has always been a very accessible location. My first Marikina food trip was at Lilac Street; we tried the Mogu Noodle Tree House and Crepeman Cafe. The inner foodie in me was so sure that I'll be back soon to try more interesting restaurants in Marikina. In fact just last month, my blogger friends and I tried Karnevore and Rustic Mornings. Sharing our photos below. ππππ
Karnevore
Take it from the name itself, Karnevore basically offers meat dishes (i.e. steak, pasta, etc.) for a very affordable price. Most of us ordered Wagyu steak - it's one of their bestsellers according to their staff.
The restaurant has a very casual feel, with wooden chairs and tables. You can see from inside how the chefs prepare our meals through the glass windows of the open kitchen.

Of course we didn't forget to take a group shot! |
My only comment with their steak is that the taste is too balance. I had to add salt, pepper and more sauce for it to be tasteful.

Rustic Mornings
I learned about Rustic Mornings on Facebook, when friends posted about this very interesting place. I find the place so artsy - organized clutter as described by most. This hidden gem in Marikina offers a rural ambiance, which I thought is really beautiful.
